Creatine: A substance produced in the liver, pancreas and kidneys is made up of the amino acids methionine, arginine and glycine. It is stored in skeletal muscle, the heart, brain, testes, retina and other tissues in the form of free creatine and phosphocreatine (PCr). As one of the most popular and studied sports nutrition ingredients, over 500 clinical studies have evaluated the effects of creatine supplementation on muscle physiology and/or exercise capacity. Creatine is effective because it helps muscles make and circulate ATP, the energy fuel for quick intense activity of short duration such as weightlifting or sprinting. It also plays a role in supplying substrate for the phosphocreatine system where it serves as a phosphate donor during high intensity exercise. This allows for the energy restoration and maintenance of high power output for muscles. Higher amounts of creatine in muscles further enhance the molecule's effects on high energy demanding activities.
Ancient Peat and Apple Extract Blend (elevATP): A revolutionary clinically studied combination of trace minerals from ancient peat and polyphenol-rich apple extract. Ancient peat is from a water extract of fossilized plants that has been combined with apple extract containing polyphenols. elevATP has been shown to increase blood ATP. In the muscles, ATP provides the chemical driving force for contraction. When ATP is split, its energy is released, and the muscle cells channel some of that energy into mechanical movement.
L-Citrulline: Interest in L-Citrulline is growing for good reason. L-Citrulline, an amino acid that can be converted to arginine in the body via the citrulline-NO cycle to L-Arginine and plays an important role in the metabolism and regulation of NO.
